I have not used v7 because it seems to be more problematic based on what I'm reading. If v6 isn't stable (from a reliability standpoint, not an update channel), why would one expect v7 to be more stable? Upgrading to v7 for the hell of it is not a "good reason" either. Not what I said nor asked.Yes, I've found bugs in v7 just like everyone else. If you really think v7 is bug free it's quite obvious this is a waste of time because you're wearing blinders.
There's clearly a bug in the software. Again, I have provided my evidence. The versions I've tried are 'stable' and 'long-term' as labeled by Mikrotik.
Is *this* bug that you are having, fixed in the latest version, or even a version or two behind? It is a simple question that you are not answering.. v7.12.1 for example. v7.13 broke too many things I do (fetch) and I haven't tested v7.13.1 enough to suggest it..
Being that stable and long-term are not used anymore, being called "stable" and "long-term" doesn't matter. You being more familiar with v6 than v7 isn't a good reason to stick with v6.
Version 7 has significant improvements in BGP compared to version 6.
Yes, I run BGP with full tables on my Tile CCR1036.
I'm aware there are improvements in BGP in v7. My concern is getting it stable, not new additional features or benefits.
FWIW we switched to default route only and that seems to have fixed the problem. Not that it's really a solution for everyone, but in our case we can make it work no problem.
