Thank you for your help. I am on RouterOS 7.13. The link-local address in the default route is that of the firewall, not an interface on the switch itself. Would I still need to add the %sfp-sfpplus1 at the end of the address in this case?

I just tried what you suggested, and now the route works perfectly, and now I am able to ping external hosts. Thank you so much!
