General • USB serial remote monitoring and flashing

HI,

I'm developing firmware for some IoT devices (Arduino based) and some times there is a need to troubleshoot and update device remotly over serial interface.
While device has network access (operational WIFI) I can push firmware updates over OTA and get some statistics of it. But if there is a problem with WiFi connection on the IoT device I don't have the option to do the troubleshooting remotly and fix the device.

I searching for a device, that would be "all in one" for my needs. What I need is:
  • WiFi
  • Ethernet
  • LTE
  • Containers (would like to run debian/alpine based micro linux distro)
  • Has enough built in memory for storage (need of 100MB storage + container)
  • USB Serial, (read and write, since i would like to upload firmware to devices)
In searching of some "magic" device that would cover all my needs, I found "Chateau LTE6 ax". It has all the pheripherials that I need, but I'm not shure if USB is accessible to the container for my needs.

I have already build some test board with RPI and mikrotik router, all works... but, would like to have a all in one sollution, packed in enclosure, with power supply, without worries about sd card failing, etc. Also tried reading a serial with my RB951 8). Works without problem, but I'm missing the option to upload the firmware over serial of RB951.

I'm searching for a reliable device with which I could flash my IoT devices remotly and monitor its serial output.

Please if you have some experience and knowedlege for my use case, share it with me/us. Wouldn't like to buy 300€ device and later figure out, it dosent fit my needs. :)
