Most DDoS attacks cease after a while (when attackers see that their efforts are fruitless). Meanwhile protect the services you're using so that they can't be abused easilly. If you can't stand the attack any more, you can try to change your IP address (this might not be feasible and/or possible).
And yes, you can't block traffic to flow towards your router but you can block traffic to flow from your router (either towards ISP or towards customers or LANs).
